“Jusby is a funny clown and very creative. His performance included never before seen fire tricks along with classics. Flaming Pies and world debut of Flaming Mistletoe had many couples kissing under huge burning (metal) branch. Jusby brought sparklers of two kinds (short AND long style) and gave them out to the crowd to sparkle-along with the act.

We are planning on rehiring Clown Jusby and Draco for this year’s New Years Eve celebration and would highly recommend him for a variety of events.”Hillary Ryan, Director of Marketing and Communications, Museum of Glass

“(Jusby) clearly understands how to use humor to enhance an event or occasion. He stood out during Purim which, in Jewish tradition, is all about silliness! And understanding that clowning is not for all, he respects limitations and never pressures anyone to participate who does not wish to.” Rabbi Seth Goldstein

For the April Fool’s Service, Rev Jusby and the Clown Entourage

While on the one hand I greatly appreciated the good humor and plain silliness Jusby brought to our services, on the other hand I equally valued the thoughtfulness and seriousness Justin brought to planning the services. Justin clearly understands how to use humor to enhance an event or occasion or even the experience of worship. At the same time he recognizes the need to maintain appropriate limits so as not to overwhelm. He, also, recognizes that while most people love the antics of clowns, there are those who have difficulty with them, and he respects those limitations. If you or your organization are planning an event at which you suspect good humor or even glorious silliness would enhance the occasion, I encourage you to speak with Justin to see what arrangements he and Jusby could make. The conversation, at least, will be worth your time.

I hired Justin to manage the entertainment at my son’s 11th birthday party. The entire class was invited, and I wasn’t sure how to keep a dozen pre-teenagers (boys and girls) adequately and appropriately entertained. The results were nothing short of spectacular. “Jusby” and his team of clowns engaged the kids by first leading them in an icebreaker Laughter Yoga session. He came prepared with lots of different activities, but the two that the kids went absolutely ga-ga over were the face painting and the pies. I’ve never seen kids line up so enthusiastically to get a pie in the face. Additionally, several of the parents opted to be pied as well. Everyone was laughing hysterically and very happy. As an added bonus, Jusby and his team handled the cake presentation and serving (clowns serving cake!) and the unwrapping of gifts (hilarious). BUT THAT’S NOT ALL – Jusby also provided me with beautiful online photos of the event (he’s a terrific photographer). Would I hire him again? In a New York minute. He will give you every dime’s worth of your money and then some. He’s also great with all ages, from little kids to adults. Highly recommend.

Justin led a 30 minute “Wellness Break” for our group of social workers. Since experiencing his Guided Laughter event, I have had MANY positive comments about his presentation. Everyone really liked that they could chose their own level of participation depending on their own preferences. It was unusual, fun but still a valuable learning experience for a group of people who’s job it is to make OTHERS feel better. Thank you Justin!

Justin is the consummate professional clown. He loves his work — and it shows! He knows his way around kids, makeup, crowd control, and parents. What I love most about working with Justin is that he strives to create a complete atmosphere of fun — with pies, music, professional props, and all the accouterments. Justin is great to work with — and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to have a GOOD TIME !!!

You are a very funny comedian Jusby. I had the pleasure of taking a class with you and the entire class was left cracking up. You are bringing a whole new light to local comedic talent for hire; to lift up our spirits and make us Olympians have a good old laugh. Bravo, a very needed and welcomed medicine.

“Pied Piper, Pied lovebird, Pie in the sky, the great pie of Sauron… I was fit to be pied! Yep, I think I was in danger of taking myself too seriously, I was stressing about the shows and worrying about everything! I needed a pie in the face. It changes your perspective wonderfully! Thanks Jusby, that was just the therapy I needed!…  That was fun and awesome!”

“I hired Jusby for my daughter’s fifth birthday party. Certain adults claim to be uncomfortable around clowns, a perception fueled by the entertainment industry, for whom lazy writers will use the casting of the benign and jolly clown into sinister aspect to score cheap suspense points. But clowning is a very old and respected art form; a good clown will work a room according to who is in it. A child’s birthday party, for example, invariably contains adults, and the simpler, child-pleasing act will succeed with adults only insofar as the children are entertained. But this clown is the real deal. Gifted in improvisation, his humor hits on multiple levels: broad comedy for children, delivered with plenty of rapid-fire asides to keep adults laughing, too. He travels loaded for bear, with a bottomless box of props and a long list of extra services, e.g., face-painting, tattooing and so on. We hired him for a two hour premium visit, and probably only made it a third of the way through his total act. He was always busy — and enraptured the children — but with a laid-back aspect; he and his assistant, Honey the Clown, seemed to be more like particularly amusing guests in whiteface rather than a set performance. Many clowns seem to have one thing that they do particularly well with the rest used for filler; Jusby seems to handle every aspect of the clown’s trade well, whatever technical facility he may lack in a given area is filled out by his deep training in theatre, and this is perhaps his strongest point: when he’s working, it seems like the most natural thing in the world to have a clown at your party.” Adam McIsaac

I remember thinking, there was a little bit of a cult following, it seemed like people were interested in what you were doing, what you were saying, thinking…  It seems like in every picture I’ve ever seen of you, there’s always someone laughing. And I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want that… but you put yourself out there.

At first I could not believe I was really going to do it, ( you know get hit with a pie in the face) I was then excited to have the pie in my face but then I remembered what it was like to get out of a HUGE ice cream float one time and was hoping the clean up would not be as bad. And the next day I could still smell the sweet cream in my nose…. That must have caused me to have sweet dreams of fluff all night!

I’ve been a fan for a while, so I was thrilled when Jusby was able to stop by my event.  Everyone loved him, they couldn’t stop talking about it.– to the point where they hired him again the next year, and gave him much more freedom to perform more of the shtick. Awesome.
What can be better than a fantastic clown who also has loads of experience working with exceptional kids?
