Robert just had a birthday and consented to a pie, live on TCTV’s Karaokeoly. I had an unused Halloween pie in the freezer with fake blood and gummy worms.
Ewww…did someone put razor blades in that pie?
On the plus side, I’m wearing a hand-knit hat and scarf made by my sister, Betsy.
Also, here’s a flashback from the first episode of Karaokeoly in which director Tom Patten was the Patsy and Jusby also took one for the team.
Billie Jean keeps on singing.
Loving that Ramblin’ Rod jacket that evolved over 20 years until it got its moment!
A dedicated core group of butoh critters will perform tonight (Fri 9.5.08) on TCTV’s Dance Oly Dance from 8 – 8:15.
This group includes Deborah Butler (Berkley), Gabe Raley (LA), Heather Duke (Olympia), Larissa Podzaline (Olympia), Bruce Fogg (Olympia), and Justin Wright (Olympia).
We invite any former students of doranne crable to participate. The group will move from the TV studio to the Evergreen campus for a pilgrimage through student housing and culminate on Red Square.
We will be getting into make-up in the Governor House at 4pm and arriving at TCTV (440 Yauger Way) by 6pm.
We are starting up our live Karaoke show this Friday. I was wondering if you’d be interested in being a Karaoke Clown. I had an idea that if we really needed to get someone off the mic Jusby could run up and steal the mic and start singing the song. When this happens the singer’s been “Jusbied”. We would probably just set this up – not really gong anyone. We could also use a clown to entertain us during long “instrumental breaks” by dancing or ad-libing on the mic or something.
You don’t have to commit to all of the shows but I heard you on KAOS doing radio 8-ball or whatever it is called and loved it. Just thought I would find out if you are interested.
Well, it couldn’t have been Radio 8-Ball, as you’ve read. I was hilarious on “Hello, Olympia” though.
I’m excited about getting some screen time. I had planned on reserving the studio for myself to make a demo reel and start a “Clown O’ Clown” show, but this is much better.
He authorized me to ‘steal the mic!” Crooners, BEWARE! I’m packing PIE!
Show up at TCTV at 6:30 to sign up, and be ready to sing by 7.
I met with Bruce Fogg at the downtown library and he feels the need to do something reunion-y. He knew doranne for 23 years! Mara West thinks she’ll have to pick up Kelly Coyle + kidlet on the way through Humboldt. Deborah Butler agrees that the end of June will work.
I’m thinking at least one lap around the track of Relay for Life and then either later Saturday night or sometime Sunday (June 28/29)

"Jusby takes clowning seriously. Can I say that? He is great and gentle with kids, holding their attention and keeping them entertained, and is silly and irreverent, but respectfully so, with adults. He adds life and joy to any party. And if getting a pie in the face is on your list of things to try at least once in your life —c'mon, life is short—, then he's your clown. So go ahead and call him already.”

About Jusby
“I hired Jusby to clown for me during one of my music shows. He was spontaneous and flexible in how he performed with me and the crowd loved him. Jusby is a very organized, kind, and on time clown. I recommend him for any and all sorts of parties!”
-Chris Sand, Sandman the Rappin' Cowboy
“My wife and I have had the joy if seeing Jusby the Clown perform on two separate occasions. Once at a nonprofit organization fundraising event, and he was excellent! His jokes were funny and appropriate; his presence was enjoyed by all. The second event we saw Jusby at was at a birthday party for an adult, but all of the children there were ecstatic to see a clown. He made the birthday girl feel special, yet was attentive to all the children and the other guests as well. He performed for the crowd and made balloon animals for the kids. There was even the classic 'pie in the face' that got the adults and kids even more hysterical with laughter. We highly recommend Jusby for any event where an adorable clown can make all the people happy.”
