Jusby called into Radio 8 Ball last week but not yesterday. Last week he asked “Which of these 8 blog topics should I write about next?”
Andras played a randomly selected CD on shuffle function.
The answer came in the form of this song:

“Before Departure” PJ HarveyFarewell my friends
Farewell my dear ones
Farewell this world
Forgive my weaknessGoodbye my friends
Goodbye to evening parties
Remember me
In the springTo work for your bread
Soon you must leave
Remember your family
Work for your childrenI don’t need much
And the older I become
I realize
My friendshipsLord carry me over
Any course of distance
Any cause of sorrowMy friends that last
Will dance one more time
With me
I don’t need much
This I need
The 8 topics were:
- AMTA- HEAD START [the day he performed twice]
- Bjork at Sasquatch [the show he missed due to a vomiting toddler; Tammi thought this might fit with the "sorrow"]
- Spina Bifida [see "Sitting Down on the Job" written because of the synchronistic arrival of those DVDs]
- Recycling [why co-mingled still doesn't solve it; Andras & Tammi suggested "goodbye my friends" might refer to the departure of the cans and bottles, etc.]
- Sacred Clowning/ Applaudville [why he chose to attend a workshop instead of perform for money]
- Washing Machine [when the mechanic said 'It's your transmission' and how Trish decided to switch to Soap Nuts]
- Halloween House [see "Halloween House Details"]
- Melt Your Face Gumbo [appropriate because of the "evening parties" reference; see "Melt Your Face Gumbo vs. Slop and Surf Gumbo" written because of the hunger for more gumbo]
Now Trish asks Jusby, “Did you type my Test on Bones, Joints and Muscles? Are you almost done?”
“Oh, crud,” thinks Jusby, “Farewell my friends… Remember me in the spring…”
